Naereid
From Age of Sigmar - Lexicanum
Naereids, also known as Neirids, are forest sprits related to terrestial Sylvaneth that have adapted to life in the seas and oceans of the Realm of Life.[1][2a]
Biology
They are akin to the Forest Folk of the land but have adapted to have fronds, membranes and wave-wings that allow them to speed through the water far more effectively than land dwellers. They are still swift and deadly on land, once they have adapted to the lack of water resistance.[1]
Culture
They spend their days tending and guarding the forests of kelp, as well as the creatures and spirits that dwell within them, in the seas and coeans of Ghyran.[1][2a]
Notable
- Kelara: The leader of the Naereids in the Sea of Serpents, she aided Alarielle in her flight across the frozen sea at the beginning of the Age of Sigmar.[1]
- Usniel, the Lord of the Deeps and guardian of the great serpents, whose own tails reach into the very roots of the Realm of Ghyran.[1]
