Bog-Grots are a variant of Grot that live in the bogs and swamps of the Greywater Reach and surrounding areas.[1a]
History
Age of Sigmar
Multiple Bog-grot tribes attacked the Free City of Greywater Fastness when it was first founded, harrying the city's stockade until its people discovered Realmstone in the Greywater Reach. With this the people of the city were able to craft machines to drive the grot tribes back.[1a]
Culture
Society
They organize themselves into tribes.[1a]
Settlements
The Bog-Grots maintain several settlements within the Ghoul Mere. These are largely comprised of ramshackle shacks made of reeds, driftwood, and wet dirt. Each of these is home to a mere few dozen Bog-Grots and their Marsh Squigs.[2a]
- Scuttler's Nest: This Bog-Grot settlement in the Ghoul Mere is more notable than its peers due to Old Scuttler, an enormous Arachnarok Spider, who the Grots built their settlement around and openly worship.[2a]
Other Bog-Grots have taken up residence within the sewers beneath the Free City of Greywater Fastness. Within the camps they have established throughout the sewers they cultivate spore-spewing fungi and squigs.[2b]
