Hedonites of Slaanesh are the vast armies of hedonists that follow or once followed Slaanesh, the lost god. None can say what has become of the Dark Prince of Perversion but his followers still seek him, or look to supplant him.[1]

Split

The followers of Slaanesh have, in his abscence split into factions and many travel the realms in violent, decadent warbands. These Hedonist Warbands fall into three main catergories:

  • Invaders: They do not seek or attempt to usurp their lost god but rather continue his work as extravagently and violently as possible. They are usually led by a Keeper of Secrets, a daemonic Herald of the Dark Lord or a mortal champion as they seek to vent thier darkess desires upon their most unfortunate of enemies.[1]
  • Pretenders: A powerful and charasmatic individual, mortal or neverborn aserts that they should be the next god of excess. They gather the most powerful force they can to help them ascend, always watchful for other pretenders within their own midst.[1]
  • Seekers: A seeker warband travels through the Mortal Realms, using every sense they possess to search for their lost god. They will question any being that might have the information they seek and torture is often used on those unfortunate enough to be thought a useful source.[1]

Notes

This faction was named Hosts of Slaanesh at the release of the Grand Alliance: Chaos. After the release of Battletome: Hedonites of Slaanesh (2019) it was renamed to its current name.
