Weirdbrute Wrekka
Weirdbrute Wrekkaz are Ironjawz orruks overwhelmed by the power of the Waaagh!, becoming maddened berserkers.[1a]
Origins
When a Brute becomes so caught up in the Waaagh! that they take leave of their senses and start doing strange things like trying to fight anything they see (more than usual), vomiting up greenish energy, or running off into the wilderness, his mates generally try to catch him and drag him to to the nearest Weirdnob Shaman to see why he's gone "propa wonky" and if the shaman can turn him back into his old self. The shamans, unfortunately, universally have no idea of what to do and so turn to the orruk standby of hitting a problem until it goes away.[1a]
The usual "cure" is to attach a crude mask to the Brute by driving spikes into the afflicted Brute's head in an attempt to bleed the wonkiness out, which mostly just makes the Brute permanently angry. The good thing (from the shamans' perspective) is that this anger is easily directed towards whatever the warclan needs smashing.[1a]
Abilities
The Waaagh! energy swirling around the Weirdbrutes causes them to see the world as a sea of green fire. Groups of enemies burn in their vision with particular intensity, so the Weirdbrutes just need to head towards the light and start swinging. Between the Waaagh! energy coursing through them and the constant pain of the nails, they can ignore the effects of all but the most grievous wounds, meaning most enemies cannot the orruks before they barrel into their lines.[1a][1b]
Equipment
Weirdbrute Wrekkaz carry heavy Chain-smashas, which they swing at their enemies with frenzied intensity. The Weirdbrute Masks attached to their faces help to focus their madness into a deadly frenzy that makes them almost immune to pain.[1b]
