Zircona Desert
The Zircona Desert lies within the Underworld of Lyria. [1]
The desert is criss-crossed by a nexus of ancient trade routes set by the great fortress-wagons of the Zirc nomads, which forever trundled across the desert, carrying the tribes from one oasis to the next. They trade shadeglass and other commodities recovered from the sands in exchange for iron and silver. [1b]
The trade routes are dotted by duardin-made oases and trading enclaves like Fort Alenstahdt, garrisoned by whoever the merchant families of Glymmsforge could pay - smaller clans of fyreslayers or otherwise uncontracted bands of Freeguild mercenaries. [1b]

Grand Prince Yaros recalls that in his youth, there were a thousand oases in the Desert and around each a kingdom sprouted.[1a]

- The Free City of Glymmsforge is a vast oasis city of Sigmar's Empire found in the Zircona Desert.[1b]
- Fort Alenstahdt is a fortress that stood watch over the Great Lyrian Road, a causeway of raised stone stretching across the desert to the great city of Glymmsforge.[1b]
- Great Lyrian Road: A grand causeway stretching outward from the Free City of Glymmsforge. Oases and trading enclaves dot the road, defended by whoever the merchant families could convince to do so.[1b]
Inhabitants
- Zirc: The native nomadic people of Lyria and the Zircona Desert. They traverse the desert, and beyond, in fortress-wagons. [1] They endeavour to ignore the wars between the living and undead, that wrack their homeland. [2a]
