Welcome to Warhammer - Age of Sigmar - Lexicanum! We hope you will contribute much and well. You will probably want to read the [Lexicanum:Help help pages]. Again, welcome and have fun! Ashendant (talk) 07:22, 7 February 2018 (MST)

Hi, we organised a discord server to give editing advices and facilitate lore discussions. We would be glad to see you join this dedicated community in order to better organise our efforts, be it to ask help regarding a subject you are less knowledgeable about or to know what big projects are being worked on atm. Here is a link to the discord server we use for that effect: https://discord.gg/Ryg9eA If the link is too old when you read this, just comment on this very page and I’ll update it. You can also PM me on reddit (u/Duke_Eligos-_-). User:DukeEligos (talk) 19:23, 8 October 2020 (UTC)

New Articles

I assume these new articles are about the Stormhost? Either way they are of very poor quality. If not fixed I will have to delete them. To be fixed they need:

  • Sources with pagenumber or chapter
  • Categories
  • Not be a copy paste

Personally I wouldn't mind fixing it myself, but without a source I can't do that.--Ashendant (talk) 09:18, 7 August 2019 (MDT)

I will add some sources.--User:Xking
Also don't forget when responding in talk pages leave your signature behind, which an be done by adding --~~~~ before submitting.--Ashendant (talk) 10:44, 7 August 2019 (MDT)

I just edited one of the pages, Knights of Azyr could you look at it and fix some stuff. Also I usually edit pages that have already been made, so how do you make new sections within a page and add images? also how to make links on here.--Xking (talk) 11:11, 7 August 2019 (MDT)

Hey :) I edited the page - I find the best way to start is copy other similar pages - its more likely the basic format will be right. to make a section use ==Secton Name== hope that helps. --Viktor (talk) 11:28, 7 August 2019 (MDT)
Can you have a look at my edit of the Knights page and add the missing elements to your new pages - categories and points - best thing to do is open it in a separate tab, click edit and then copy paste what you need to your other pages. Then close the page you are copying from WITHOUT saving. --Viktor (talk) 12:16, 7 August 2019 (MDT)

How do you upload Images?--Xking (talk) 13:04, 7 August 2019 (MDT)

Look in the Navigation bar to the left and open "Upload File" in a new tab - also shows you what to use to post the images. Still need to finish those new pages with source numbers. Have a look at your Sons of the Gladius page to see what i added. --Viktor (talk) 13:18, 7 August 2019 (MDT)

I see that Viktor has been helping you with this. Here's a few observations.

  • Sometimes one paragraph is better than 2: Comparision
  • I did the following edits to the Crimson Seraph article. Checking this link should help you get organized.
    • You need to bold the names and title. Use the '''thing you want to bolden''' to bold things.
    • Your caps are a bit random. Work on that.
    • You add too many empty spaces.
    • Sources need to have a comma between the pagenumber and the source.
    • The sources need to have an {{Endn|?}} before them and a [?] in the text that leads to the corresponding source. The ? must be replaced with the correct number.

Either way you're starting to get how this works. You started adding sources and categories. Just keep improving and in no time you will be able to do this easily. Keep checking my edits and you'll see what you're doing wrong.--Ashendant (talk) 14:07, 7 August 2019 (MDT)

Here are a few more tips and questions:

  • Every entry in a list must be sourced. You forgot to add the number to a few.
  • I assume Azyrite Arbiters and every other Stormhost you have been updating are on page 87-88? If this is a double spread page you can also list more than one page in a row by doing it like this: ", pg. 87-90".
  • Tips when uploading images:
    • Name of files must be specific, but also easy to find. Using the Bloodied Dawn as an example I moved "BloodiedDawn.PNG" to "Bloodied Dawn colors 01.png". The file type(PNG) must be lower case. There must be space in between the words. And there must be a two digit number on them. Only admins can move file names, so usually you can only get it right on the first time. If there's a issue with the name send me a message.
    • Images must have a category. Normally it's the Stormast Eternals images category, but in this specific case is the Stormcast Eternals color schemes.
    • Images must have a specific source. You need to put a pagenumber on their pagenumbers.
    • This is not that important, but images that do not have margins, should have a little white to them on all sides. Again this is not all that important it's just so it looks good.
  • I will be removing the "THE" from the start of article names. It's safe to assume that in most cases the "The"'s are not supposed to be there.

Overall you already show great improvement. Continue your good work!--Ashendant (talk) 06:26, 8 August 2019 (MDT)

It seems I've already uploaded these images before. It's usually good to check the appropriate category(in this case Category: Stormcast Eternals color schemes) to see if a image has already been uploaded or not. I'll need to see which images have better quality and remove one.--Ashendant (talk) 06:33, 8 August 2019 (MDT)

Forum

I've created a Forum so we all can have a more indepth, communal discussion on edits and updates to the Lexicanum, while at the same time make it easier to follow. Check it on the Lexicanum:Forum article.--Ashendant (talk) 14:14, 16 November 2019 (MST)

Don't forget that you can sign comment by writing --~~~~ in front of your comment.--Ashendant (talk) 19:51, 31 December 2019 (UTC)

Sources

You need to add sources to your additions(Those on the mortal realms and oaks of ages past) otherwise I will have to revert them.--Ashendant (talk) 17:12, 3 February 2020 (UTC)

Again you forgot to properly cite the new pages.
I also need to know the pagenumbers for the new Daughters of Khaine Icons.
Thanks.--Ashendant (talk) 02:18, 2 March 2020 (UTC)
You need to connect the sentences you wrote to the sources below. You can't just add sources at the bottom and be done.
Also Image sources(Ex: File:Khelt Nar.PNG) should go on their respective file page not on the articles they appear.--Ashendant (talk) 13:57, 2 March 2020 (UTC)
Added sources to the images using your latest addition.--Ashendant (talk) 14:05, 2 March 2020 (UTC)
Sorry to bother you again but when uploading(or after uploading) please follow these simple rules:
  • Using the correct names for example "Dreadwood icon 01.png".
  • Add {{Copyright}} to the Copyright section
  • Add categories.
This is very easy if you copy+paste. Thanks very much for the help.--Ashendant (talk) 14:43, 4 March 2020 (UTC)

Copy-Pasting

You cant just copy-paste the entire Battletome to the Wiki. It messes up and makes it unreadable and may also violate Copyright laws. You need to edit and re-organise the content in the source and put them under the proper Heading. There is already a History section in the Fyreslayers page and copy pasting stuff has messed it up and the parts of Battletome in Caps have been copy-pasted the same way. There are now two two lists of Lodges, two History sections etc. Please read the article and add things to the relevant place. Thanks- UMDP (talk) 06:23, 11 March 2020 (UTC)

The above post is correct. Please do not copy paste stuff directly from the battletome, you have to put on your own words and organize it properly. We can't have the risk of being stricken by copyright laws. It doesn't help that I don't have any of the sources and can't confirm whetever something is copy+pasted or not.--Ashendant (talk) 15:17, 11 March 2020 (UTC)

Noticed that your new edit is the same as https://sun9-7.userapi.com/c205524/v205524514/a9f9c/XO9jzl3ruRA.jpg in the Battletome. The page is WIP and needs to re-organised and rewritten- UMDP (talk) 03:57, 14 March 2020 (UTC)

I will be working on it--Xking (talk) 14:14, 14 March 2020 (UTC)

Information on the Zharrgrimm Priesthood should go on the Zharrgrim Priesthood article. I will rewrite the entirety of the Fyreslayers article soon.--Ashendant (talk) 19:18, 14 March 2020 (UTC)

Day and Night

Where does the information that the cycle of hysh and ulgu amplifies the light of other realms' sun comes from? I remember that this is a thing and saw that you added this info to the Mortal Realms, but can't remember where this info was found.--Ashendant (talk) 18:56, 8 May 2020 (UTC)

I ask one of the writers on twitter about it some time ago it, do to lore inconsistencies when it come to celestial bodies. --Xking (talk) 04:04, 9 May 2020 (UTC)

There was a Video on Youtube called A Traveller's Guide to the Mortal Realms where the entire Hysh/Ulgu Day and Night Cycle was explaned short by Phil Kelly. I think this could be the source you are searching for. EMMachine (talk) 11:35, 9 May 2020 (UTC)

Can you provide a link to the twitter in question Xking?
I know about that on EMM and it's not what I'm looking for. I'm looking for the part about other realm's suns.--Ashendant (talk) 12:25, 9 May 2020 (UTC)

I don't really remember who, it was part of bunch of questions I ask different writers last year. --Xking (talk) 13:36, 9 May 2020 (UTC)

I'm starting to think the "Day and Night" section should be changed to what in the RPG corebook until we get something in book form saying hysh effects other celestial bodies. --Xking (talk) 13:45, 9 May 2020 (UTC)

That's probably for the best, through we need to add a lot of stuff from the Core book to the Mortal Realms article.--Ashendant (talk) 14:09, 9 May 2020 (UTC)

Maps

I kinda forgot about this. I was able to glue the two pieces of the Viridian Fields together and remove the corners. I was unable to remove the text without loosing detail, so this will have to do. Feel free to upload 1 or 2 more maps to stich together like this and i'll do my best.--Ashendant (talk) 17:44, 14 May 2020 (UTC)

Negative Titles

Negative Titles are still Titles. As long as they are sourced it's okay.--Ashendant (talk) 23:16, 27 September 2020 (UTC)
