The Ur-Phoenix is an avian godbeast that embodies fire and rebirth. It is the progenitor of the Phoenixes, who are proud warriors of Order who wield the primal magic of their progenitor.[1][2][3a][3b][4a]

Pyre of the Phoenix

The Pyre of the Phoenix is a crystalized valley in the Realm of Hysh wherein the Ur-Phoenix goes through its fiery reincarnations, leaving behind smouldering ash. Echoes of the Ur-Phoenix's previous reincarnations and the future of the Aelf race can be glimpsed here and many Annointed go on pilgrimage there.[3a][3b]

Religion

Several religious orders of aelves serve the Ur-Phoenix, the most prominient of them being the Phoenix Temple.[6a] The Phoenix Temple is a religious cult and conclave of warriors dedicated to the Ur-Phoenix's creed of resurrection through fire. This creed is widely popular throughout the Realm of Aqshy.[3a][5a] The human population of the Free City of the Phoenicium do not share their Aelven counterparts' deep spiritual connection to the Ur-Phoenix, nevertheless they worship it as a god of hope and salvation.[3b]
