The Unreachable Mountain is a towering peak of perpetually erupting volcanoes, found at the northernmost edge of the Realm of Aqshy.[1][2a]

Appearance

The towering mountain is visible from every point in the Ashlands of Aqshy and throughout the ages many empires have bankrupted themselves sending expeditions to attempt to mine the red quartz veins that glitter across the mountain's slopes. On the hottest days the Crystal Henge that sits on the shoulders of this mountain can be seen. It is said that anyone who travels to this mountain finds their most powerful emotion multiplied a hundredfold, bleeding out across the heads of the Unreachable Mountain and down to Ashlands itself.[1a]

On the hottest days, a vision of the Henge appears in the skies above Asphyxia. Some claim that reaching this mirage would allow one to reach the peak of the mountain. The mirage used to appear on a high cliff, but that cliff has long eroded away.[1a] This mirage is in fact a realmgate known as the Hengegate that leads from Asphyxia to the Unreachable Mountain.[1e]
