Underworld Deities
Underworld Deities are those deities that once ruled over the myriad afterlives and underworlds that make up the Realm of Shyish. Shyish is a vast reality centered on innumerable underworlds and afterlives, each varying wildly from their peers. These underworlds were formed by the beliefs of all the cultures and civilizations of the Mortal Realms, each of these had a god that governed them. [2a]
But that was before the coming of Nagash. When the Great Necromancer first coalesced into the Mortal Realms, he set his eyes on all of these afterlives and the very gods that ruled them, considering them all to be his to use and consume at his leisure. Where once there were countless gods of the underworlds and death, now Nagash reigns supreme and he seeks to make himself sole ruler of all of Shyish. [1][2a]
