The Twin Kings, Mog and Gamog, were a pair of Gargant lords who served as Sigmar's shield-bearers, a duty that was assigned to them as a form of penance after some act of defiance.[1a]

History

Age of Myth

After enacting some act of defiance, Mog and Gamog were forced to become Sigmar's shieldbearers.[1a]

Age of Chaos

They carried out this duty for centuries, even participating in the early wars against the incursions of Chaos. Both were slain in the days leading up to the closing of the Gates of Azyr, but not before leading their tribes to safety in the mountains of Azyr.[1a]

Later the Six Smiths would create two imposing, gold-and-brass clockwork automatons that bear the death masks of Mog and Gamog, in honour of the Twin Kings. These automatons stand guard over an enormous gateway in the Sigmarabulum, connecting the Tower of Apogee to the Chamber of the Broken World.[1a]
