Teyosa
Teyosa was a human noblewoman of House Avaranthe of the city of Nulahmia in the Age of Myth [1]
She was second born in her generation of her family. [1a]
She married Mathas Hellezan to help build an alliance with his house and bore him a son, Kasten. Thus she escaped the plague that claimed the lives of her house shortly after, her relatives transformed into Nighthaunts and skeletons. [1a]
Not long after, her husband was compelled, like all mortal firstborn of the noble houses to undergo the Culling of the Firstborn and transformed into a vampire. [1a] When Neferata ordered the destruction of House Hellesan following the killing of her spymistress, Raia by Mathas, the Queen taunted him that someone would have found the blood of his wife and child succulent. Although the stricken nobleman raced home he found no trace of either Teyosa or Kasten amongst the mutilated dead.[1c]
