Tauroi Archipelago map

The Tauroi Archipelago are a series of land fragments that broke away from the Ashlands of Aqshy long ago.[1a] They have been imbued with a kind of aggressive sentience by the winds of Chaos and corrupted by Khorne.[1]

Locations

The floating islands of the Tauroi are barren and infertile, their former civilisations ground down to dregs by constant war. The lands are infested with mutants[1] and bullgors.[1a] The islands themselves possess a kind of sentience imbued in them by the power of Chaos.[1] Corrupted by Khorne, the islands are periodically driven to attack the rest of the Ashlands, crashing into the other landmasses so that armies of beast mutants can wage war on their inhabitants.[1a]

History

Age of Myth

In the age before reign of Chaos the land of future Tauroi Archipelago were a part of Asphyxia and were populated with proud and wealthy people who transit the water from volcanic peaks to major arid plains of continent via long viaducts.

Age of Chaos

The fragments that would become the Tauroi Archipelago broke away from the greater landmass of the Ashlands and were corrupted by Khorne.[1] The great horde of Bullgors and other beast-creatures called Bloodscorch emerged from the mountains rift. Though the native people fought bravely soon they were overwhelmed and run to the deepest caves were Bullgors can not squeeze through.

Age of Sigmar

The Stormcast Eternals of the Tempest Lords attacked the Tauroi Archipelago to liberate the human tribes known as the Candlemen from the Khorne-worshipping bullgor tribes. Using their greatest ability Tempest Lords inspired great proud in tired and frightened souls of Candlemen made them sure that they can prevail the Bullgors or at least shine brightly and die in the last stand revenging the long years of humilation. Great army of Candlemen in each of regions of Tauroi Archipelago reinforced by a Tempest Lords Warhosts clashed in the battle with Bloodscorch and their Beastman allies. Though foughting valiantly against the Bullgors main force the Candlemen were routed by counter-atttack of Ghorgons exposing the Stormcasts' flanks to three hoards of Bullgors. When all seem lost then came a miracle - the already routing Candlemen suddenly were feeled with rage and returned to fighting with the renewing fury. For the main force of Bullgors - the creatures already saturated with energy of Khorne - effect was much worse - their heads exploded in a gore fountains. Rejoicing people of Candlemen tribes and Tempest Lords struck back and brought red vengeance to surviving brayherds. Unknowingly to them - it was the death of the Skarbrand on the Unreachable Mountain that cause this increasing of rage. So the distant deed of a Lord-Relictor Ionus Cryptborn saved the people of the Tauroi Archipelago.[1b] Over the next few years clans of Candlemen hunted to extinction all survived lesser beastmen, fully reclaiming the lands of their ancestors.[1c]
