A Skull Altar miniature.

Skull Altars are infernal altars that rise from the ground when summoned from the Dominion of Khorne by Khornate priests.[1a][1b]

Use

Skulls can be transferred directly to the Skull Throne via these altars, and the Blood God's scorn of magic means that nearby wizards find their spellcasting disrupted.[1a][1b]

It can also serve as a platform for oratory from the priest who summons it, and many make use of it to exhort their fellow Khornates to greater heights of slaughter.[1b]

Origins

The first Skull Altar was summoned in the Scablands of Aqshy by Lakshar Bloodspeaker, chief Slaughterpriest of the Goretide, in the wake of the Necroquake.[1b]
