Sigendil, the High Star of Azyr, is the beacon of Sigmaron, surrounded by an enormous clockwork mechanism that made it the brightest of all stars in Realm of Azyr. It never moved from it's place in the sky like other stars did.[1]

The inhabitants of the Mortal Realms, specially those of Azyr, hold this star in high regard, its constant nature being a source of certainty in the tumultuous Age of Sigmar.[1]

A few examples of it's importance are:

  • Sailors use it to chart safe courses across stormy seas.[1]
  • Mothers tell their children it is the holy light of Sigmar that protects them in their sleep.[1]
  • Merchants swore oaths by it.[1]
  • Laws were ratified by it's light.[1]
