Shadowsilk is a substance produced by the Arachnarok Spiders raised by the Frazzleshun Spiderfang Grot tribes native to the Revelatia in the Realm of Hysh.[1a]

Creation

Through experimentation the Frazzleshun Grots learned how to feed Falsestone, Realmstone of Ulgu gained from a trade agreement with their Scurrowstabberz allies, to their Arachnarok Spiders. The webbing produced by spiders that have consumed Falsestone in this way is known as Shadowsilk.[1a]

Appearance

It is an oily, inconstant material that devours light and spreads darkness around itself.[1a]

Magical Properties

Shadowsilk is imbued with the power of shadow and gloom. It is known to devour light and emit a pall of darkness.[1a]

Usage

The Frazzleshun Grots use Shadowsilk for a great many things. Cloaks of the substance are made for their champions and nets are made of it to fling at enemies, binding them in shadow. They also load great quantities of it onto their Arachnaroks' fingers, creating a vast net of slowly descending silk in the sky that blots out the Hyshian sunlight.[1a]
