Seerstone Amulets are magical amulets consisting of a reflective scrying gem produced in the Free City of Tempest's Eye that act as long range communication devices.[1a][2a]

Overview

Seerstone Amulets are made within the Free City of Tempest's Eye and contain a scrying gem within them. Each amulet is part of a paired set, with one being kept and worn by a celestial seer of Tempest's Eye at all times, while the other sold off, or else given to officers of the city or envoys from afar.[2a]

When an incantation is spoken aloud a Seerstone Amulet gives its wearer the ability to see and hear things from the perspective of the bearer of the amulet's pair. In this state the wearers of the paired amulets retain control of their own bodies, but deaf to their own voices.[2a]

Usage

Clients can use these amulets to communicate to the far off seer in Tempest's Eye and there are some organizations that have created vast communiation networks using these amulets, with the seers of Tempest's Eye acting as intermediaries.[2a]

The seers of Tempest's Eye claim that the amulets only work when both halves of a pair are active. But in reality the 'away' amulets are always in an active state feeding information back to Tempest's Eye, allowing the seers to spy on their owners. Many clandestine conversations have been spied upon, with the owners of these amulets none the wiser.[2a]

Sometimes pairs of Seerstone Amulets find their way into the black markets of the Cities of Sigmar. The most prominent being the Mist Markets of Misthåvn and Silent Auction of Anvilgard.[2a]

Design

The seers of Tempest's Eye make these amulets lightweight and mundane on purpose, hoping that those who acquire them will easily forget about their presence. Making it more likely they'll keep them on their person at all times.[2a]
