Scuttletide is a predatory Endless Spell used by the Gloomspite Gitz that manifests as a horde of thousands of sorcerous spiders that come squeezing from cracks in the ground and surging from shadows and undergrowth to overrun and frenziedly bite everything in their path.[1]

Conjuration

The spell can only be summoned by wizards of the Gloomspite Gitz with the Spiderfang Grots finding it easier to summon. The shaman grasps a small jade amulet with an imprisoned skullback spider and uses it to call forth a seething mass of the trapped creature’s kin whose arrival is announced by a weird whispering, a rising scrape and skitter like a wind through dry leaves.[1]

Effect

A Scuttletide seethes across the battlefield, biting and poisoning anything that gets in its but will not harm spider-kin thus Spiderfangs are not only left unharmed but can safety travel across the mass of spiders. [1]
