Rotted Hold
The Rotted Hold was a vast and revolting Dreadhold established by Lord Efulgus, a servant of Nurgle, in the Panmyrrian Jungles of Ghyran. The putrid fortress quickly corrupted everything around it.[1a]
History
Age of Chaos
The Rotted Hold is established in the Panmyrrian Jungles by Lord Efulgus and slowly starts to corrupt everything around it. Enraged Spiderfang Grots of no less than sixteen Stalktribes are led by their shamans to assault the fortress. At first Efulgus and his Rotbringers laugh at the efforts of the grots, but their delight quickly turns to horror as Skitterstrand Arachnaroks arrive from self-made realm-tunnels to aid the Stalktribes.[1a]
Thousands of grots and dozens of Arachnaroks die over the course of the prolonged siege, but in the end the Rotbringers are overrun and slaughtered. The surviving shamans of the Spiderfang Grots perform a ritual to purify the fortress and the surrounding jungles, using the venom of their Spider God.[1a]
