Realmsphere Magic
Realmsphere Magic refers to the magic drawn from the powers of the Mortal Realms.[1a] In places of strong magical resonance, certain types of spells become easier to cast.[1b] For example, a Wizard casting Bright Magic within the Realm of Aqshy.[1b] This resonance becomes more prominent at the edge of a realm, where traveling warbands of fighters may suddenly find themselves able to manipulate the energies of the aether despite lacking magical knowledge.[2c]

Arcanum Optimar
Since the coming of the Arcanum Optimar, all many residents of the mortal realms have experienced an increase in magical awareness. A local healer in Aqshy might now snap their fingers to produce an arcane flame. A fortune-teller in Ghur may suddenly a keen sense of smell akin to that of a predator scenting their prey. Even the common-folk may now suddenly acquire arcane knowledge. For example, a quasi-charlatan who could do little more than entertain with gaudy tricks may have acquired the ability to make sparks out of thin air or change their hair colour on a whim. Meanwhile, true sorcerers will have found their already formidable magical talents greatly amplified.[2b]
Magic Spectrum
Every mote of arcane power is made up of component energies that each show a dominant 'colour' and hold elemental characteristics that correspond to properties associated with one of the eight Mortal Realms. Alike energies will attract one another; and it is believed by many scholars that the Mortal Realms themselves are made up these energies that pulled together after the ending of the World-That-Was. Thus, each realm is associated with a specific type of magic, and that magic is most easily cast within it.[1a]
