The Mother of All Cats is said to be an ancient god who was the mother of the first cats of the Mortal Realms, including the small ones, the large ones, and even creatures such as gryph-chargers that weren't really cats at all. It is said she escaped the Ruinous Powers, slipping into a crack in the Realms that even they dare not enter.[1a]
