Mausol (City)
Mausol was a towering city of bone that fell to Skaven invasion.[1a]
History
Mausol was founded atop an ancient Skaven war-burrow by Zhlatomir the Unholy, the defenders of the burrow fleeing from the vampiric warlord rather than face their wrath. It would grow to be a grand city made of bone.[1a]
Later the ambitious Hakkrit of Clan Fang organized a massive army of Skaven to conquer the city and reclaim the lost war-burrow, which contained enough warpstone and ancient technologies to make Clan Fang the richest of all the Clans Verminus. The army that Hakkrit including elements of Clan Fang led by himself, his protege Clawlord Vrekrit, and Clawlord Retchtooth as well as allies such as Arch-Warlock Shoktail of Clan Phrikk, Master Moulder Scruntclaw of Clan Threbb, Deathmaster Thwik and the slinktalon known as the Thirteenth Blade, Grey Seer Skitterik, and Verminlord Warbringer Thrashnik the Black Gnawing.[1a]
Through cunning and guile, Hakkrit played his lieutenants against one another, destroyed those among them that sought his death, and won a great victory for Clan Fang which is still revered as one of their great feats and legendary successes.[1a]
Little is known of the fate of Zhlatomir after the fall of his city to the Skaven horde.[1a]
