Gaunt Summoner casting a spell[4b]

The Lore of Fate is a collection of spells used by the Arcanite and mortal wizards in the service of the Chaos God Tzeentch. This spell lore of the mortal followers of Tzeentch centres around cunning, manipulation, and tricky. Those proficient in this form of sorcery will inevitably rise high the Great Schemer's favour.[1][4c]

Foremost amongst the Arcanite cults are the Magister's, the nefarious spiders at the centre of each Arcanite Cult's web. With an arcane gesture, a Magister may summon roaring flames of every colour or cast rays of pure change-magic that mutate their enemies into whimpering lumps of flesh. The Fatemasters, warlords and commanders of the Tzeentch cults, whose shields drip with hostile spells from their shields. The individual cultists that make up the Tzeentchian cults, known as Kairic Acolytes, are likewise gifted in the arts of sorcery. Chanting in a dark tongue that chills the blood, these Arcanites can summon a radiant ball of scintillating light, which streak off towards their target in a roaring volley of sorcerous bolts.[4a] Despite the great power to be found within the cults, few rank higher than the lords of the Silver Towers: the Gaunt Summoners and their Ogroid Thaumaturge bodyguards. The nine Gaunt Summoners in existence are each gifted with a key to one of the nine Silver Towers. When taken to battle, the Gaunt Summoners are normally regarded with awe by the Arcanite Cults normally reserved for Lords of Change. A Gaunt Summoner is capable of summoning forth daemons from nearby Realmgates or anywhere needed for a battle. The Ogroid Thaumaturges that guard these Gaunt Summoners are infused with the great magical energies and it is said that they know more of the secrets of wyrdflame than any save the most accomplished spellcasters. They can summon blasts of the mutating fire from which Tzeentch daemons spring forth, a sure sign of the Change God’s favour.[4b]
