The Library of Forgotten Tomes is a repository of books located towards the centre of the Realm of Shyish. It is said to contain records on all things that have ever been forgotten. It can not be found on any maps and the only records of its existence lays in an obscure tome written by a dead madman.[1a]

History

Age of Sigmar

Pludu Quasque spent nines years in the Library of Forgotten Tomes during his quest to retrieve the Eye of Aturathi. It was there that he learned of the Realm of Ruin, the realm to which Skaven souls go after death, and how to enter it.[1a]

Collection

The Library of Forgotten Tomes is infinite in its capacity, filled with books on all knowledge that has ever been forgotten. However these works are not conveniently selective works that can be found in other libraries, but books dedicated to the tiniest details of every being that has ever lived and every thought ever thought. There is a wing within its halls dedicated to the history of a lost world.

Buildings of the Library of Forgotten Tomes

The main structure of the library is surrounded by black pyramids and obelisks, made of lifeless Shyishan realmstone. Testament to the fact the library falls under the domain of the Great Necromancer.[1a]

Inhabitants

The library lays mouldering, completely unattended. Though it is not wholly uninhabited.[1a]
