Followers
The followers of the Ravenous God were mostly Gutbuster ogors that followed the teachings of prophet Skargut.[2a]
Prophet
The Prophet of the Maw was a Beastclaw ogor named Skargut the Great, who spread the teachings of his deity to other ogor groups and proclaimed all other deities false.[2a][3a]
This, more than anything else, may have been the reason Khorne sent a vision to Baudrax's Slaughterpriest, Marokh Skullsight, instructing the famed hunter to find and slay the god and its prophet. The Khornate warlord who led the Red Butchers' warhorde slew both prophet and deity, but not before the prophet had spread his teaching to many Ogors. Despite both their deaths, many of their followers attack Khornates, like one group of them clashed with the Bloodslaves warhorde after Skargut's death.[2a][3a]
Lair
The Great Maw lived deep below the ground in the Savage Steppes of Ghur. Above its lair, its followers had carved massive monuments depicting ogors devouring herds of beasts from great onyx crags. The followers of the Ravenous One lived in caves at the base of these crags.[2a]
