Warhawks are incredibly large, capable of carrying their riders into battle or across great distances to deliver missives and letters.[1a]
Ecology
The relationship between the Warhawks and their Aelven riders is one of mutual kinship.[1a]
Culture
Warhawks communicate with their Aelven riders using a language known as the Lost Language of the Shy-gwythiar.[1a]

Warhawks are outfitted with specialized saddles, which have slots to hold messages, metal wing guards, and diadems.[1a]
