The Golvarian Passage is a road that cuts through the Cupricon Range. It serves as the primary land route linking the region known as Golvaria in the west to the Charrwind Coast to the east, allowing travellers to avoid the dangers of the Crucible of Life.[1a][2a]

Description

The Golvarian Passage is a road comprised of bone-gravel, that winds through the Crucible of Life and Cupricon Range into the haunted lands of Golvaria. It is dusty grey in colour and the Shyishan magic into it prevents the Crucible of Life's plants from taking root beneath it.[1a]

Magical Properties

Those who choose to walk the road, to escape the horrors of the Crucible of Life, have their vitality and life force drained by the death magic that suffuses the road, magic that was imbued into it by the Necromancers of Golvaria.[1a]

Locations

  • Fort Foothold: This Freeguild fortress is built into the eastern slopes of the Cupricon Range and guards the passage through the mountains. Expeditions of all sorts headed through the pass begin in this fortress.[2a]
