The Gaunthavens were once a great city of Shyish where living mortals and the unliving co-existed in a twisted harmony, dedicated to Nagash.[1a]

History

The great city of the Gaunthavens was once well-renown for the strange nature of the wall that encircled it. For unlike other cities of Shyish this wall was not made of masonry nor were the corpses of the dead placed in honor in mausoleums, instead the bodies of the deceased were added to the wall.[1a]

The once-mighty city of the Gaunthavens fell when Orruk invaders smashed apart the great corpse wall that encircled it. The wanton destruction that followed was so thorough that not even the spirits of the dead dare go.[1a]

Religion

The Gaunthavens were a staunchly Nagashite settlement before they fell to Orruk invaders.[1a]

Locations

  • Great Corpse-Wall: When the Gaunthavens still stood it was surrounded by an impressive, mile-high wall made from the corpses of the city's dead.[1a]

Inhabitants

The Gaunthavens has fallen into ruin and not even the souls of the dead dare approach the streets filled with decaying cadavers. But before it's fall it was a place where mortals and the unliving lived in harmony, solely dedicated to Nagash.[1a]
