Gates of Azyr
From Age of Sigmar - Lexicanum
Gates of Azyr refers to the realmgates that lead to and from the Realm of Azyr. They were all closed by Sigmar in the Age of Chaos. During the Realmgate Wars, they were opened to unleash the Stormcast Eternals and retake the Mortal Realms which marked the beginning of the Age of Sigmar.[1a][1b]
Known Gates of Azyr
- Corvine Gate: A Realmgate connecting Nordrath in the Realm of Azyr to the city of Gravewild, once known as Caddow, in the Realm of Shyish.[3a]
- Mallus Portals: Realmgates constructed at the behest of Sigmar. They are of such potent divine power they can not be corrupted or destroyed.[1c]
- Road of Thunder: A Realmgate connecting the Great Parch of Aqshy to the Realm of Azyr. The Aqshian side is defended by the Goldforge Stormkeep.[2a]
- Shimmergate: A Realmgate that connects the city of Glymmsforge in Lyria, an Underworld of Shyish, to Sigmaron in Azyr.[4a]
