Usage
Galleons are used often as warships and exploratory vessels by the peoples of the Mortal Realms, particularly by the Cities of Sigmar.[1a][2a][7a]
Forces within the Grand Alliance of Death have also been known to employ galleons in their raids on enemies, such as the infamous Wraith Fleet of the Great Parch.[5a][6a] Some have even created unique varieties of galleons such as the Bone Galleons used by the Ivory Host and the Golvarian Ghoulships crewed by mordants from the Isle of Ghouls.[2b][3a]
Mega-Gargants have been known to prey upon the galleons that sail through the sea, particularly Kraken-Eaters. The crews of more than one vessel have mistaken the bald head of a Kraken-Eater for a greater shellback or tentacloid, a folly that usually results in the destruction of the vessel.[4a][4b] The remains of these destroyed ships will then often by repurposed by the mega-gargant as makeshift armour.[4a]
Armaments
Galleons are often outfitted with many cannons.[2b][4a]
