The Filthbringers are an Contagium of Nurgle Rotbringers obsessed with seeking the magical secrets of the Nurgle in their quest to literally transform into an unstoppable disease. Both occult servants of decay and deranged scientists with a cruelty that matches their ambitions, their skin has turned pale after extracting so much liquids from themselves for experiments while their armour is crafted from the chitin of Wyrr-Maggots.[1a]

Organisation

Unlike most Contagiums Filthbringer Cysts are led by covens of sorcerers. The Contagium itself is led by a group of mages steeped in Nurgle's blessings known as the Blighted Septagon, six of which are the same souls that began their quest for transcendence while the seventh seat is reserved for Festus the Leechlord who often fights alongside the Contagium to the point it has become his own private army. The Filthbringers garrison the Leech's Lair where they hunt the realm's megafauna and carry out vile experiments.[1a]

Warfare

The sorcerers that lead the armies of the Filthbringer have learnt many magical secrets in their quest giving them a command of pestilent magic matched only by a few. When covens of sorcerers begin casting spells it is like an exponentially growing outbreak with spells growing in power as more are cast until sorcerers begin to unleash waves entropic energies with ease.
