The Eighth Law of Sigmar is a law of Sigmar's Empire that requires that every Knight and Lord of the Stormhosts that goes through the Reforging process must both once again graduate from their respective officer temple and prove their skill in the Gladitorium.[1a][2a]

History

Age of Sigmar

For a time Sigmar's Eighth Law was adhered to, both ensuring the capabilities of the officers of the Stormhosts and allowing them time to recuperate in the Realm of Azyr. But over time the law slackened as Sigmar's armies, fighting in countless battles across the Mortal Realms, require a constant influx of soldiers to replace those who fall in battle.[1a][2a]

As a result, the Eighth Law is unofficially repealed, resulting in many Reforged Stormcasts only being given cursory re-training and little to no time to cope with the traumas that come with the Reforging process. To curb doubt from infecting the hearts of the warriors of the hosts, the mere mention of the Eighth Law becomes forbidden.[1a][2a]

Quotes

We do not talk of the Eighth Law, brother. Not since the All-points. Just trust to the work of Sigmar and the Six Smiths, and everything will be fine. I am sure of it, as sure as steel and fire. Now ready your hammers. We have work to do.

Dogan of Athulis, Lord-Castellant of Hallowheart.[3a]
