Age of Myth
When Nagash set out to conquer all of Shyish, he was aided by Mannfred von Carstein and Neferata. The Underworlds the vampiric Mortarchs claimed quickly grew to reflect their masters. Castle Sternieste rose to prominence during this time.[1a]
Government
Though Mannfred von Carstein is the lord and ruler of Carstinia and Castle Sternieste, he spends little time within it and instead pursues his own agendas across the Mortal Realms. In his stead those vampires he sired fight amongst themselves.[1b]
