Braggoth Vardruk
Braggoth Vardruk is Frost King of the Svard Alfrostun, better known nowadays as the Boulderhead Mawtribe. Like many of his tribe, he was frozen in the Skyblind Tundras in Ghur in the Age of Myth, only to be freed from his icy prison in the early days of the Age of Sigmar.[1b][1c][2a]

Braggoth is known to have a fierce temper, and none of his Huskards are willing to defy him.[1f]
Skills
Braggoth was a great hero in the Age of Myth, and despite being an ogor out of time, he is still a canny hunter and skilled fighter. Equipment
Braggoth carries a frost spear and a dagger made from the tooth of a frost-drake that can freeze the blood of its victim.[1e]

Braggoth has been known to ride both a Stonehorn and a Thundertusk into battle, depending on what he determines to be most advantageous against a particular foe.[1c]
History
Age of Myth
- Braggoth makes the Svard a great raiding force in the armies of Gorkamorka.[1e]
- When the forces of Khorne invade the Mortal Realms in the Bloodhowl incursions, an alliance led by Braggoth crushes them.[1e]
- Through misfortune and sorcerous treachery, Braggoth and the Svard are trapped in the Skyblind Tundras, where they are frozen solid.[1b][1c]
Age of Sigmar
- A stray bolt of Sigmar's Tempest frees the Svard from the ice. Despite their disorientation, the ogors are hungry enough to immediately set upon the Stormcast Eternals carried on the lightning.[1a]
- After discovering that those remnants of the Svard that had not been frozen in the ice had been subjugated by the Meatfist Mawtribe, Braggoth leads his warriors to the Great Gutfort, absorbing smaller Mawtribes along the way, and fights to liberate the rest of his tribe. The battle proves costly for both sides, and ultimately Braggoth and Meatfist Overtyrant Globb Glittermaw agree to an uneasy truce. [2a]
- When the Cold-Iron King destroys the Bloodbound warband the Svard are tracking and takes their corpses to mausoleums for later resurrection as skeletons, Braggoth refuses to be denied his prize and leads his Alfrostun in an attack on the King's tomb-city. Braggoth's attack quickly encircles the King's forces, and the Frostlord personally kills two of the Morghasts gifted to the King by Arkhan the Black before driving his frost spear through the King's chest.[1d]
- When Khorne learns Braggoth has returned to the Mortal Realms, he dispatches the Bloodthirster of Insensate Rage Urgor'eth to claim his skull in revenge for the destruction of the Bloodhowl incursions. Realizing he is being hunted, Braggoth sets an ambush on the land bridge over the Gorewrack Sea. When the Bloodthirster's daemonic legions charge through the surf towards the Alfrostun, they find the sea freezing around them due to the Thundertusks of the tribe's Torrbad. The ogors encircle and destroy the daemons, while Braggoth outduels Urgor'eth and leaves the dying Bloodthirster trapped in the ice of the freezing sea.[1e]
- Driven by the Everwinter to the Manticore Realmgate, Braggoth meets the Ironjawz Megaboss Grakgob, who seeks to once again overthrow the dreadfort protecting it. Grakgob, having seen Beastclaw rituals before, asks for an alliance by inviting Braggoth on a ritual hunt - an Alarok - and Braggoth accepts. Braggoth boasts that he will break through the defenders and take the keep if only Grakgob lends his swiftest and fiercest warriors. He makes good on his boast, leading a charge of Mournfang Riders and Gore-Gruntas to bring down the statue of Archaon at the centre of the dreadhold, killing the Chaos Lord commanding the defence along the way.[1f]
