History

Age of Myth

In the Age of Myth the city-state of Bellicos grew to become one of the greatest nations of the Realm of Aqshy, residing within it were the Twelve Mortal Tribes of Bellicos who were faithful followers of the God-King of Azyr.[1a]

Age of Chaos

When the forces of Chaos invaded the Mortal Realms the tribes of Bellicos rallied behind their god, Sigmar, and fought in many battles against the forces of the Dark Gods. Particularly in the Battle of Burning Skies, fought in their own homelands in the Fireplains. This battle ended in disaster and their city-state was eventually brought to ruin. Those who survived would eventually retreat to the Realm of Azyr.[1a][2a]

It is said that Khorne himself scoured the remains of Bellicos and raised the Brass Mountains in the Fellbarrens, what the area around the ruins of Bellicos were now called.[1a]

Age of Sigmar

Centuries later the Chaos Dreadholds around the Brimfire Gate, where Bellicos once stood, would be besieged during the Realmgate Wars in the Battle for the Brimfire Gate. The Stormcast Eternals would eventually capture the Arcway, removing the forces of Chaos from the region.[1a][1b]
