The City-Fort of Azyrvale is a settlement located on the coast of the Ferrus Sea in the Realm of Chamon.[1a]

History

Age of Sigmar

Sometime after it was established the settlement came face to face with a strange threat, in the form of Murkthudd. The lumbering Dankhold Troggboss, and the Troggherd that formed around it, wandered into the settled regions around the Ferrus Sea. The horde ripped through watchtowers, shrines, inns, and even a Freeguild regiment sent to stop them. Eventually the troggoths slammed into the walls of Azyrvale, casualties mounting on both sides, until three Rockgut Troggoths tore down a section of the settlement's walls. The beasts remain on their course destroying everything in their path, but to the bewilderment of the city's defenders Murkthudd heads toward the docks, rather than pillaging the city's assets, and eventually the Troggboss and it's surviving followers walk into the sea and vanish.[1a]

Sometime later, as the city recovers, rumours from afar claim a weed-covered troggherd was sited wading through the waters on the far shores on the other side of the Ferrus Sea.[1a]

Military

The settlement is defended by a number of artillery batteries, a small garrison of Stormcast, and a city militia.[1a]

Society

The city is home to a number of businesses, including a number of laundries, and taverns. It also boasts many chicken coops.[1a]
