The Arborean Mountain, also known as the Quogmia Mountain and the High King of Oaks, is a mountain-like tree that was split in two by life-quakes in the Age of Myth.It is found in Ghyran. The insides of the tree flows with sap.[1][2b][3a][5a]

History

Age of Myth

Within the branches of the Arborean Mountain many civilizations have risen and fallen. One, the aelven city of Aelfgrove, was built at the base of the great tree.[2b][5a]

By the time of the early Chaos incursions into Ghyran the civilizations that once flourished across the Arborean Mountain were reduced to ruins, with only vagrants and bandits to call the remains home. At some point, a fierce battle raged in the ruins that would one day be rebuilt into the Phoenicium. The battle and ruins would be frozen in amber when the Arborean Mountain splintered in the middle, unleashing a torrent of sap.[1][2a][2b]

Age of Sigmar

Many centuries later it was freed by Phoenixes of the Phoenix Temple. The ruined city at the foot of the mountain. Aelfgrove, was claimed by the aelves of the Phoenix Temple and rebuilt as The Phoenicium.[1][2b][3a]

Only careful maintenance and cultivation of the great tree keeps it from falling to the Plaguefather. Were its defenders to ever become lax in their job daemongrubs would infest Arborean Mountain's bark and eater-rot would consume its immense leaves.[5a]
