Annihilators are a new generation of Paladin. Built like a granite column and are protected by heavy thunderstrike armour they are called forth when Sigmar deems a target must be crushed to oblivion.
Annihilators are chosen from Paladins that have continued to endure the increasingly against all odds even as their retinues have been wiped out. Sigmar and Grungni awared these warriors with Thunderstrike Armour and remade them using secret rites beneath the glow of Azyrite comet showers.[2a]
Annihilators unlike other Stormcast Eternals do not descend from lightning but charge through rifts formed by storm-magic. They are often given the honour of entering the melee first and as the momentum of charge builds up twin-tails of lighting begin to form behind them until they can shatter the enemy battleline by impact alone. After their energy has been expended they become lumbering and slow but by then they have already entered the melee. The celestial energy unleashed by every blow of their hammers are channeled back into the armour which can also absorb the energy released by slain Stormcasts. Therefore when the immediate enemy is shattered they would launch another meteoric charge.[2a]
Annihilator are armed with either a Meteoric Hammer and shield or a giant two-handed Meteoric Grandhammer. [2b][2c] Their weapons and shields are made from enchanted meteoric rock while they are clad in the thickest Thunderstrike plate.[2a]
