The Cover for the Monstrous Arcanum Compendium and Legends Compendium.

Monstrous Arcanum were Monster units originally from the Warhammer: Fantasy Battles that transitioned into Warhammer: Age of Sigmar. The army would later be re-released with Warhammer Legends, with warscrolls for every miniature Forgeworld has released.

Background

  • Background for the 2015 Compendium

Far from the bastions of civilisation, the world-that-was was the domain of monsters and strange creatures of nearly limitless forms and macabre power. From the broken wastes to the deep and fetid swamps, and from the perilous depths to the chill mountains, it was these great beasts that ruled in elder days, and the best that the feeble arts of mankind could do was record their legends in works known as the great Monstrous Arcana.

Notes

  • The 2018 version of the Monstrous Arcanum Compendium has 34 warscrolls.
    • It added Pitch Battle Profiles for every unit.
  • Version 27/08/2021 of the Monstrous Arcanum released a Compendium, with 15 Warscrolls and a Legends Compendium with 20 warscrolls.
  • The Legends Compendium changed various Monsters faction units and gave them Monstrous Ally rules.
