Vosguard

The Vosguard are the most elite of the Hearthguard Berzerkers sworn to protect Auric Runefather Bael-Grimnir of the Vostarg Lodge.^[1a]

Membership

The Vosgard contains many of Bael-Grimnir's Auric Runesons whom he considers to be strong warriors but otherwise unsuited for leadership. While some might feel slighted by their father's opinion, other see it as a chance to prove themselves and either elevate their father's view of them or earn personal glory and a following among the Vostarg. Several Runesons who served in the Vosguard have amassed enough followers to set out and found their own lodge even while their "favoured" brothers still serve their father as councillors and lieutenants.^[1a]
