Skurrik
Skurrik is a Grey Seer obsessed with somehow creating a race of magical warriors utterly loyal to him. This has led him to an obsession with both the energies that sustain life and the Stormcast Eternals, which he sees as prototypes that his genius can only improve upon. It has also given him an obsession with vivisection, though that's really more of a hobby.[1a][1c]
Ambitions
Ultimately, Skurrik hopes to rise to rule the Skaven Masterclan, preferably with the aid of his yet-to-be-created arcane super-warriors. He has held this goal ever since the Age of Chaos - including the part where he does it with magical soldiers - and ever since he discovered that Stormcast Eternals contained some measure of celestial magic he has desired to capture one to dissect and discover how they work.[1c]
Alliances
His quest has led him to make pacts with all manner of dangerous beings in order to increase his chances of capturing a Stormcast Eternal. In return for a powerful spell from the Verminlord Corruptor Vermalanx, he had his agents infiltrate Nurgle's Manse to steal an ancient urn holding the ashes of a Treelord. He also made an alliance with the Glottkin, which proved valuable to them during the Realmgate Wars; it was Skurrik who alerted the Maggotkin of Nurgle that the entrance to Athelwyrd had been found.[1d]
History
Age of Chaos
Skurrik travels to Rotwater Blight in Ghyran to study the nature of life and perhaps find a way to create his beloved super-warriors.[1c]
Age of Sigmar
After seeing the Stormcast Eternals, Skurrik allies with Vermalanx in order to get access to a spell that could capture and hold a Stormcast for examination. However, when the sylvaneth attack Vermalanx's followers, the Brotherhood of the Red Boil, at the Glade of Horned Growths, Skurrik flees.[1c]
The Grey Seer shadows the mysterious silver warrior who emerged from the corrupted realmgate at the glade's heart during the battle, watching as he reunites with his fellow Stormcast Eternals. Though no opportunity to capture a Stormcast presents itself, he does observe them entering the River Vitalis and not emerging. He alerts his Maggotkin allies that the Stormcasts may have found Alarielle's hiding place.[1d] In the subsequent Battle of the Hidden Vale, he is reunited with Vermalanx, who convinces him to attempt to strike Alarielle with the Dreaded Thirteenth Spell, though he hits Tegrus of the Hallowed Knights instead.[1e]
