Skryre Acolyte
Skryre Acolytes are the underlings of the Skryre Warlocks. By order of their master they mine and tinker, carry munitions and aid with the experiments, remembering to bully those hapless Skavenslaves who run in their wooden wheels or ‘volunteer’ to test the Warlocks’ machines.[2a][3a]
Promotion
Every Acolyte is utterly convinced of their own brilliant genius and surely dreams of becoming a Warlock. In pursuit of this higher rank Acolyte can either conquer the favour of his betters or just murder them to claim their workshop for his own.[2a][3a]
Combat
On the battlefield Acolytes serve their clans as foot infantry. They throw poisoned wind globes at the enemy's ranks, devastating even the hosts of most resilient warriors.[2a][3a]
Equipment
Donning heavy gas-hoods, goggles, thick robes and steam-belching gasp-breather backpacks, Skryre Acolytes go to war armed with bandoliers of Poisoned Wind Globes. These fragile spheres are made of crystal or glass and are filled with deadly poisoned wind, a Warpstone-derived gas which is produced by Warlocks themselves. Skaven enemies are horrified at the thought that they can become a target of Skryre Acolytes, for armour is no defence against the corrosive fumes and even thick cloth hoods and rubberised seals quickly tearing apart beneath such a gas. Those who breathe poisoned wind find their lungs filling with liquid, their flesh blistering, bones splintering and eyes melting in their sockets. Screaming in nightmarish pain, the hapless victim is dissolving right in the front of their comrades-in-arms.[2a][3a][3b]
In close combat Skryre Acolytes use Rusty Knives or Notched Knives.[1a][2b]
