Skalok, the Skull Host of Khorne is a legendary dragoness and Godbeast ridden by the Bloodbound hero Vorgaroth.

The path of slaughter and destruction across the Mortal Realms this pair has left behind is thing of legends having run for millennia with countless victims and making a colossal tower of skulls. If given the chance she would slay her rider like her rider would slay her, but their partnership has razed civilisations and made them the favourite way for the Blood God to turn the tide of battle in his favour when his mortal armies falter. Or whenever the pair finds a sign of bloodshed when flying high above, ever-watchful for a chance to swoop down and bring death and destruction.[1][2][3]

History

Vorgaroth, a champion of Khorne was tasked with killing Skalok, a Godbeast from the Realm of Ulgu. When they met, the pair fought tooth and claw at the heart of a mountain until the Khornate champion finally managed to strike her down. However, amused at the martial prowess of the dead entity, Khorne now decided to breathe new life into her, stitching the huge body back together. He now bound their fates together for if either one is slain then he would tear apart the other. [4]

Since then, this highly effective motivation has caused them to spend many long years as Khorne's equalisers – often turning the tide whenever his armies are likely to be defeated. [4]

Weapons and Equipment

Skalok has eviscerating claws, a brass-plated tail and cavernous jaws capable of spitting White-hot Balefire. Her unnatural speed for her bulk makes her easily able to crush even the nimblest of foes. Her furious wing-beat disrupts the balance in the winds of magic for enemy wizards, making it harder for them to cast. She can also devour her fellow servants of Khorne to strengthen herself, the healing powered by the fury that sweetens their blood.[1][2]
