Savage Big Stabba

Savage Big Stabbas fighting a Mutalith Vortex Beast.

Savage Big Stabbas are Bonesplitterz orruks who work in pairs to use massive Gork Toof spears to hunt the greatest monsters of the Mortal Realms.[1][4b]

Recruitment

The orruks chosen to carry Gork Teef are usually the most unhinged warriors in the warclan, the type whose self-preservation instincts have been scoured away by constant exposure to the Waaagh!. They eagerly take up the massive spears for the chance to test themselves against whatever monsters the warclan finds, heedless of the danger posed by their targets' natural defences and any allies it may have.[5a]

Combat

The Big Stabbas have a simple mission: to find the biggest, meanest beast fighting against them and stab it really hard in the squishy bits with their Gork Toof. Between their hunting skills, the magical powers of the Gork Toof, and the sheer length of the spear, a solid stab will almost inevitably hit something vital deep inside all but the largest beasts. For those monsters too massive for one or two Big Stabba pairs to take down, entire Teef Rukks will work together, and when the beast finally falls it will be pincushioned by dozens of huge spears.[4b] Some teams of Big Stabbas have even managed to figure out how to throw their Gork Teef with something approaching accuracy for when their prey has the temerity to keep its distance.[5c] Most pairs are willing to give throwing a go when they realize this is their last hunt, even if they haven't practiced it beforehand; more than one beast has been brought down by a Gork Toof hurled as a final act of defiance by the Big Stabbas it just disemboweled.[2a][2b][5b]

Gork Teef

A Gork Toof or Gorktoof is both a very large spear and a holy relic to the Bonesplitterz that wield it. It is too large for even the biggest and strongest orruks to use effectively, so the Big Stabbas work in teams of two. While it may appear to be little more than a sharpened log, impressive tusk, or flint-tipped tree trunk to outsiders, the orruks believe that a Gork Toof takes on the qualities of the beasts it kills, and every kill nourishes Gorkamorka directly. The longer a spear is used in combat, the more revered it becomes to the warclan as it accumulates more bestial powers. The longest-serving weapons are artefacts as eager for the hunt as their wielders that shake and jump in the Big Stabbas' hands with barely restrained bloodlust. Many Gork Teef have names reflecting their nature, have outlasted generations of wielders, and have become subjects of legends in their own right.[4b][5b][6a]

Famed Gork Teef

  • Wurld-Splinta: a well-used Gork Toof of the Bonegrinz.[4a]
  • Shiny Stikka: a golden Gork Toof used by the Brokeknuckle tribe with a head from a melted-down Fyreslayer forge-temple. It glowed with inner light that the warlcan used to hunt beasts in the darkness of deep caverns.[4b]
  • Weirdtoof: a Skullthumpers Gork Toof that would jump out of the hands of its Big Stabbas when near a realmgate, leading the tribe to its location and helping them find new hunting grounds.[4b]
  • Skykilla: a Gork Toof that would unerringly seek its target when thrown at flying creatures. Its wielders believed that it had the spirit of a winged creature, but that it could not fly away because it could not escape Gorkamorka and so fell back to the ground once it hit its target.[4b]
  • Big Bite: A Bonegrinz Gork Toof that once felled a Carnosaur that had been fighting off both the warclan's Gorka-boss and Morka-boss.[4c]
