Warhammer: Age of Sigmar - Mighty Battles in an Age of Unending Wars was the first book of the Warhammer: Age of Sigmar series and introduced the Mortal Realms setting. This book continues on the Warhammer: Age of Sigmar (Starterset book) and begins the story of the Age of Sigmar in the Realm of Fire, but also the start of the campaigns in the Realm of Life and in the Realm of Metal.

This is a campaign book containing battleplans, warscrolls and Time Of War rules.

Description

For centuries uncounted the Mortal Realms have languished under the yoke of Chaos. From the burning plains of Aqshy and the glimmering steel mountains of Chamon to the putrefied forests of Ghyran and the beast dens of Ghur, the thunder of the marching forces of Chaos drowns out the piteous cries of tormented tribes and broken peoples. Yet, the Dark Gods' triumph remains incomplete - the Realm of Heavens resists their armies, its ruler, the God-King Sigmar, holding back the hellforged tide. Now the time has come to strike back, for at last Sigmar's Stormcast Eternals are ready for war. Storm clouds roll out across the realms heralding the beginning of a new era - the Age of Chaos is coming to an end, for this is the Age of Sigmar!

Warhammer Age of Sigmar provides a wealth of background on the Mortal Realms, its many races and its long history of war and conflict. Inside you will find tales of the Age of Myths and the creation of the realms, along with Sigmar's pantheon, and their great and godly deeds during this time of legends. Learn of the Age of Chaos, the coming of the Dark Gods and the wars that saw seven of the eight realms reduced to flame and ruin – Azyr, Sigmar's own realm, alone surviving behind its mighty gates. Discover new battles as the Age of Sigmar dawns, and the Stormcast Eternals arrive to push back the forces of Chaos. Alongside these exciting histories you will also find warscrolls, battleplans and rules, so that you can forge your own legends in the Age of Sigmar.
