Krondskol is a settlement at the southernmost point of the Krondspine Range, at the head what might have been an ancient godbeast known as Krond.[2a]

Settlement

The deep vales and large caverns that surround the colossal skull have long been home to a wide variety of brawling Gargant tribes. Most of the tribes of the Krondspine Range, regardless of what species they belong to, generally avoid the gargants, unless they wish to recruit them for a specific battle, thinking they can buy their brief loyalty with promises of food and a proper scrap.[2a]

Era of the Beast

When Kragnos passed Krondskol on his way from Twinhorn Peak, word of the End of Empires had already reached the Gargant tribes and many went to join his cause. None returned from the Siege of Excelsis, their Stomp broken on the walls of the great city. In the power vacuum caused by the deaths of so many Gargants, a Warstomper Mega-Gargant named Bannog Hollowguts has since risen to power. Bigheel of a Stomper tribe called the Stoneboots, the story goes that Hollowguts once consumed a Wildfire Taurus, a living spell, some portion of which still rages in his guts giving him an insatiable thirst for water. Bannog had learned that humans setting off on Dawnbringer Crusades sometimes carry about floating metal islands which spew endless streams of healing water. The Warstomper now seeks this source of endless water and has cut a bargain with some Orruks to tell him where a likely Dawnbringer Crusade might be found so he can acquire an Aqualith.[2a]
