The Khul is a nomadic warrior tribe hailing from the Realm of Beasts. Facing persecution by the Sigmarites they fled to Aqshy where they became allies with Aridian.[1]

History

World-That-Was

The Khul originated in the World-That-Was.[1g]

Age of Myth

Ghur

Following the End Times and the subsequent creation of the Mortal Realms, the Khul arrived in Ghur in a region known as the Wardstone Peaks.[1g]

When Sigmar arrived to the region he brought with him the construction of cities. When the Khul refused to renounce the ways of blood they were cast out. An army of thirteen nations made up of humans, duardin, and aelves pursued the Khul to the top of a mountain north of their ancestral lands. Lashkar Bloodspeaker used the blood of his brother, Aorgas, the chieftain of the Khul, to find a secret realmgate. Then Lashkar brought him and their family to the hidden valley that housed the realmgate. Then Lashkar killed all of them in their sleep. Thus activating the realmgate for the Khul to pass through.[1g][1h]

Aqshy

Once on the other side of the gate the Khul realized Lashkar's crime and banished him.[1h]

Initially, the Khul were hunted for being invaders from another realm.[1b]

Later, the Khul became allied with the Aridians showing them the ways of war and a Khul became their Spear-carrier a bridge between the two peoples. After three generations of this alliance, the Khul grew restless and some wanted to strike out alone again. Athol disagreed as did the council of elders.[1a][1b]

After a trial for the Bataari thief Williarch and a dispute with the Tithemasters' emissary Rosika, the Khul became tied to Aridian in a conflict with the Tithemasters. To help to defend the Khul and Aridian, Athol left to find an army of allies to help stand against the sorcerous Tithemasters.[1c][1e][1f]

Society

The Khul are all warriors and value survival and tradition above all else. They are ruled by a council of elders.[1b][1d]

The only relic of their past that they still have is the Last Forge a portable forge that requires blood in order to heat and empower any metal of the Khul.[1d]
