Isharann are a caste of the Idoneth Deepkin.[1]

Embailors

Embailors are the members of this caste that train and tend the creatures of war.[5]

Soul Wardens

Soulrenders

A Soulrender and a Rakerdart.

The Soulrenders are unusual amongst the Isharann, for they train in combat alongside the Akhelians. Armed with a hooked polearm known as a talúnhook, they are much more accustomed to acting at the forefront of battle, often seen alongside Namarti whilst their bond-beasts Rakerdarts, dart around at their feet, stabbing prey to ensure they cannot escape.[1a]

Upon each Soulrender's helm, dangles a lurelight, a talisman that's strange glow attracts fallen souls from both allies and enemies, which can be used to reinvigorate fallen Idoneth. Once back in their undersea strongholds, the souls are transferred into chorilleums, ready to be seeded into newborn Namarti. [1a]

Soulscryers

A Soulscryer protected by a Scryfish.

The navigators of the Idoneth Deepkin enclaves, they divine the targets of the soul raids, guide travellers through the Whirlways and communicate with other Soulscryers in distant enclaves. In battle Soulscryers often accompany the Idoneth phalanxes, directing them unerringly before and during the battle, making sure they claim the strongest souls.[6a]

They are able to use dowserchime staffs and cyfar compasses to map not only the Mortal Realms but even the dark corners of a being's soul.[2][6a]

Soulscryers arm themselves for battle with with finger-claws made from razor-sharp Allopex teeth and are guarded by Scryfish shoals, etherfish that not only help point the way but will vigorously defend them by attacking foes with the spikes jutting from their jaws. [2]

Tidecasters

A Tidecaster.

The Tidecasters are vital to Isharann society and survival, for their magic can draw from the power of the Ocean that they inhabit to blend of air and water into the the ethersea. This phantasmal medium allows Idoneth creatures to surge onto land as well as (rarely) trusted representatives of surface nations to enter the hidden realms below. When an Enclave goes to war, the spells of the Tidecaster make travel and war possible, hurling Idoneth phalanxes vast distances to strike at land based enemies using canals and rivers to strike deep into a continent's heart.[1a][6b]

Their power comes from within, the bitterness and spite they invariably carry, with a skilled Tidecaster being able to externalise loathing to strike deep into a mortal's psyche, exposing their deepest terrors. With their fellow Idoneth they are able to conjure their collective repressed anguish and grief into waves of crushing despair, black pits of hopelessness, and raging whirlpools of rage they leave their enemies washed away in sheer despair, ripe for their souls to be taken.[1a][6b]

Able to manipulate the ethersea to such an extent, Tidecasters often serve as emissaries to the surface world with a few becoming Soulbound and such are their abilities that they are able to demand much from whichever deity seeks their service. [6b]
