The Hamadrithil is the chasm in the Realm of Ghyran where Alarielle planted Drycha's soulseed.[1b][2b]

Description

The Hamadrithil is a hateful place, a shadowy rift where a malicious sentience dwells.[1b][2b]

History

Age of Chaos

In the darkest days of the War of Life, Alarielle, desperate for a way to turn the tide of war, resolves to plant the soulseed of Dyrcha, an ancient spirit from the World-That-Was.[1a][2a] Alarielle had waited so long because she feared Drycha's madness would be a detriment to the Sylvaneth; now, she fears that not planting the soulseed would deprive her children of a powerful weapon against Chaos. The Everqueen chose the vale of Hamadrithil in the hopes that the energies of the canyon would make Drycha strong. It works better than the goddess expected, and Drycha Hamadreth is podborn in a huge, gnarled form that is the embodiment of the chasm's malice.[1b][2b]
