Age of Sigmar - Lexicanum β

Grey Aelf

The Grey Aelves, or Skuru Elgi as their neighbors in Barak Gorn call them, dwell inside a mountain to the north of the city of Barak Gorn in the region of Melket in the Realm of Ulgu.[1a]

History

Age of Myth

In the Age of Myth they trade heavily with the Duardin merchants of Barak Gorn and in fact their city and Barak Gorn were once a singular, interconnected metropolis.[1a]

Age of Chaos

When the Age of Chaos drove their Duardin neighbors away, the Grey Aelves retreated deep into the earth, relying on their powerful illusionary magic to keep them hidden.[1a]

Age of Sigmar

Not long after Sigmar's Tempest first broke across the Mortal Realms, the Duardin of Barak Gorn returned and renewed their trade with the city of the Grey Aelves, though there are many Duardin that retain resentment toward their Aelven allies, these Duardin claim the Aelves choosing to flee into their own mountain rather than aid or join them in flight during the Age of Chaos was a betrayal. Many more of the Barak Gorn Duardin simply view the aelves actions' as pragmatism.[1a]

Culture

They are known as Grey Aelves by their neighbors, the Duardin of Barak Gorn, partly due to the colors they wear to blend into the mists of the Realm of Ulgu.[1a]

Trade

The nobility of the Grey Aelves adore the jewelry made by their neighbors in Barak Gorn and will eagerly trade for such jewelcraft, typically they trade with Bright Sea Gold which they have in abundance.[1a]
