Culture
The people of Hammerhal are a proudly militant people and their Freeguilds are among the best equipped among the Cities of Sigmar. The Goldjackets, like all of the city's Freeguilds, are fiercely proud of their heritage and are famed for their unwillingness to retreat even in the face of impossible odds.[1a]
The Freeguilds of Hammerhal are said to each be descended from one of the tribes Sigmar personally brought with him before the closing of the Gates of Azyr. The Goldjackets still retain the great battle standards, stitched from Hyshian suncloth and the bones of martyrs, they got from their progenitor tribes. They bring these artefacts with them into battle, believing they inspire great feats of bravery.[1a]
Standing beneath the banners of their forebears feels the regiments' hearts with pride and to lose these banners or allow them to be damaged is considered a disgrace.[1a]
Structure
They are mostly used as line infantry.[1a]
